Sussex Day, 16th June!

A lovely warm and sunny Friday evening at the Warninglid Cricket Pavilion provided the perfect backdrop for the reading of the Sussex Charter by longterm resident Peter Benner. Thank you Peter for being our “Town Crier”.

Everyone joined in to sing “Sussex by the Sea” along with a glass of Pimms. Late comers, seeing the song-sheets, insisted upon further singings of “Sussex by the Sea” and yes - 36 people later it was the 6th rendition! The calculation ratio of Pimms to verses (or Pimms versus verses) is still ongoing… Thanks also to Mariola and Michele for providing the Pimms - and thanks to those attending who donated to the WRS Pavilion maintenance fund. It’s a lovely asset and yes, you can hire it for your tea parties.
