The Seaforth Hall

Charity number 30532

Welcome

Built in 1925 by Lady Seaforth in memory of her father (Edward Steinkopf of Lydhurst) the hall supports a variety of events ranging from classes and meetings to drama and private parties, making us the ideal venue for the surrounding area.

Run as a registered charity, our hall is located in the centre of the village, close to the Half Moon pub. The hall consists of the main room, a stage (temporarily out of action), dressing rooms, a well-equipped kitchen with 2 serving hatches, a small meeting room and m/f toilets (no disabled toilets at this time).

Available for hire: Seats up to 44 at tables, close-seating (theatre productions) or dancing 100.

We are especially grateful to the Sussex Community Foundation for their donation to the Hall to enable us to make major improvements to the hall amenities. - Sussex Community Foundation.

What’s on

  • Coffee Mornings

Please join us for our monthly coffee morning from 10am until 12 midday on the first Friday of each month. It will be held in the Seaforth Hall. We look forward to welcoming you. All monies donated for go to Seaforth Hall funds. Do come along and enjoy some coffee and company!

There will also be a collection point if you would like to donate any non-perishable food for Handcross Pantry. Our village focus is pasta, rice and suitable accompanying sauces. If you can’t come to the coffee morning, there is a food donation bin at the front of Seaforth Hall - your donations and support are hugely appreciated.
